WE PROVIDE SECOND CHANCES TO REFUGEES THROUGH TECHNOLOGY.
Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex or queer (LGBTIQ+) persons face discrimination, persecution and violence, which leads to forced displacement and the need for international protection.
In most African countries, same-sex relationships are criminalized – sometimes punishable by death. Many LGBTIQ+ persons have no choice but to seek refuge elsewhere. But even in countries of asylum, they can face stigma and abuse.
Our work seeks to protect all refugees, asylum-seekers, internally displaced and stateless persons with diverse Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, Gender Expression or Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC) and works with partners to provide inclusive services, protect their rights and identify safe options.
We seek to promote an entrepreneurial mindset, connect people, and create an unstoppable stream of actions towards the transformation we want to see in the world.
This is a rights-holders project - by refugees, for refugees. We build members' skills through hands-on experience, linking them to available resources that enables them learn and provide solutions to the real world
I joined this program to strengthen my skills in web development after getting basic education in college. These new skills have enabled me to expand my skills to include graphic designs, coding and short video development
Strengthening networks with existing non-profits provides project beneficiaries with expanded opportunities to learn, apply their knowledge and better their chances of getting jobs in the technology world
